A couple days ago I noticed this small patch of darkness. At first I just assumed it was a shadow, but after looking closer at it, it seemed as if it was some sort of algae. Just curious if this is something I need to get out of my tank asap.

Its base is a couple branches with there own set of tentacles , looks like one now.

I already have spots on the front glass haha but I only assume it will get worse

its definitely hard, i cant brush it of very well. I just spent ten minutes brushing the same spot and got no where. If I add purple up will it begin to help the development of purple coralline? my goal was to have purple rocks
