well the gold rim tang finally died from the ick out break. i set up the hospital tank a bit too late. i did save the coral beauty, but i'm going to let the tank sit for 5weeks and from now on every fish gets a copper treatment . hopefully this will take care of the ick forever,... damn ick..

anyone ever dipped a fish with ick and have succsess? the fish in question is my gold rim tang . he 's had on and off battles with it ,but today it's real bad. But he is still eating good, so to dip or not to dip that's my question...

:frustrat: well my new tang is got about 12 spots of ick, it is still eating really well, so i'm not feeling as though all is lost ...i'm going to the lfs to get 2 neon gobys..mabey they can help. ick is the only real downfall of keeping a reef tank.

i just added a gold rim tang . he's about 3 inches in diameter,the lfs had him for 3 weeks. he looked in great shape not a single spot or torn fin .he cost 30 bucks i think it was a good deal. anyone else have one how do they usually do in the home reef?

it hasen't looked so good latley. i have 2 175 watt reeflux mh and 2 420 65 watt atinics. were should i place it. right now it's near the bottom . i have had it for 3 yrs,all water params are good , but i just did an over haul on the tank about 2 months ago, and since then it seems pissed. thanks

ok.. my 2 month old blue jaw trigger just died ..at 4:30 pm he was fine swimming and looked good. at 6:30 he is down on the bottom, breathing heavily . now my water params are great i just tested. here's the deal the it eyes started to get sucked into it's head ,and it's stomch got really sucked...

just wondering if anyone knows if there is a reason some 10,000k bulbs are $25-$35 and some cost $85-$115.. is't 10,000k spectrum all the same?
