yeah that is the first purchase i made when i decided to get into this hobby. it is a great book and full of info. i didnt know about the magazines, i just found a few on the web n thought i would ask your guys opinion.

i am looking at subscribing to a saltwater magazine, but i dont know of any lol, anyone know of some good ones or any good books to read about the hobby??

lifereef.com has some awesome filter systems. they arent the cheapest but you get what you pay for and that site has some great stuff.

not to but in or anything but i didnt know you could dip saltwater fish in freshwater. it doesnt hurt them? can you do it for to long or to short of time?

ok i would like to see a fish all twacked out lol, but off the subject of drugs ha, when you use copper in the qtank does it carry over to the main tank when the fish is ready??

yeah i am trying, i dont want to rush anything at all. i figure just take it slow and save some money to buy the good stuff so i dont have to worry about it in the future you know. i think i am going to order my tank soon so then i can get started on building my stand, hopefully ha. good luck...

i wouldnt say you r wasting your money since it looks like you got some brand name lights. just make sure you monitor everything close cause there has been a lot of fraud going on on ebay lately. well with cars it has a lot idk about aquarium stuff tho 4sure lol.

yeah i like the t5s a lot. so in the qtank when you first put a fish in there should the lights be off also?

hey sorry to chim in so late in the forum but it sounds like you are doing pretty much the same thing i am doing. they got you all covered on your questions but i would just say to take it slow and research everything you can first. dont rush anything and good luck
