    Live Sand - Recommendations on what and where to buy

    Look for a bag of 'southdown' sand in your area or online. It's my favorite sand for tanks. Its small grain and reflects well and overall gives a great look. Or... You could go bare bottom. :)

    Get a fairy wrasse, they are aweeesome! You could do what I do and just leave the tank low on fish so that your able to 'impulse' buy ones you really like. ;)

    If you want a really stable 10g qt, put a 55g sump on it. ;) Just put a hob filter with a little LR and do 3g or so every other day water changes.

    :lol: First thing you should do is look into a local reef club, they are great for beginners. All of them are different, but mine has meeting every month on anything from photography to culturing your own DT's. They can be a great tool. First CUC: 80g... I would start with about 7-10 Turbos...

    Oh, and yea... SSS will eat everything out of your sand bed which is why you need a large and deep bed for them to do well normally. :) If you want some cool stars, look into brittle stars and serpent stars. They are awesome 'starters'
