I like some aspects of it and some are a pain. The biggest pain is the sump area. Only small sumps fit and then it is hard to get a "good" skimmer in there.... One of the good things is a lot of front viewing area. Easy to make a nice cave kind of look with the rock too..... Hard to take good...

I recently upgraded my lights to the bigger Orphek PR-156. My corals are looking better in the last 4 weeks since the upgrade. Here are some pics. I was very excited when the fixture arrived and couldn't wait to get home to install it.

Stay away from those kind of fixtures. They only become a headache down the road as they are usually manufactured with components that are not designed to handle the moisture that comes from our tanks. Ballasts/drivers that are not waterproof absorb the moisture and we all know what the...

Think of lighting as the MOST expensive investment in equipment you will make. I am familiar with the cheaper LED fixtures and those are junk. Most likely it's an individual importing them from China in batches to resell locally and/or on the internet.... I bought mine from a guy in our club...

That size of tank almost makes it a nano which is nice because there are a lot of choices you can go with. For LEDs be sure to do your research and get high quality fixtures from a reputable company. The hard part in that is the allure of the cheaper LEDs from places like ebay and the like...

Danny, If you have a T8 fixture already you may consider putting in some of the Orphek LED tubes that will fit in either T5 or T8 fixtures. This could be your best option possibly for a reasonable price. I think they have vendors in AU as I saw them on the MASA site.... Orphek | superior led...
