Yeah, we have to bring the ocean home to enjoy it.

    3 fish for good homes

Hi all, I have a Saddle Valentini Puffer and two Ocellaris Clownfish that need new homes. My daughter typically cares for the fish when I am out of town. She is going to college. I live in Flagstaff. I will need proof of your ability to take care of them in an established tank. Thanks

    Disappearing mushroom

UPDATE: I was doubtful, but you folks were right. Yesterday my mushroom made a brief appearance. It literally seemed to crawl out from under a rock. Today he is gone again. It's offspring is doing great, growing in size.

    Disappearing mushroom

I still can't find him. I am afraid he floated away to a very dark place and will pass away.

    Disappearing mushroom

I put a mushroom in a couple months back. It seemed to be thriving. In fact, just last weekend it replicated make a small offshoot. Pretty cool to watch. Today, it has totally disappeared. Chemistry seems fine. I have two clownfish and a valentini puffer. None have ever expressed any interest...

    Risk vs Benefit

It would be good to have the hard tubing for a number of situations.

    Risk vs Benefit

That was a great video. Still looking for thoughts on the emerald crabs, though. Thanks

    Risk vs Benefit

I have some bubble algae growing. At first just two bubbles which I carefully removed. I guess I wasn't as careful as I thought. I've probably got about 20 bubbles I can see now. I'd like to add 2-3 emerald crabs to help out, but I have a Valentini Puffer. In general, he has left invertebrates...

    Coralife 65 Skimmer

How much room does the 65 need for access into the tank? I have a bowfront 36 with a glass versa-top and not a ton of room on the back?

    Stringy thing bothering my zoas

Still no good pictures, but I pulled the rock out this morning and looked at it. I didn't see anything that looked like a vermetid. The stringy parts were multibranched and seem to originate from the rock. I held the rock under water while my son used tweezers to remove as much as possible of...

    Stringy thing bothering my zoas

I've had a small rock which is covered in red and purple zoas in my tank for a month and a half or so. They are starting to spread, which is really nice. But, I have a couple hitchhikers. One looks to be a very small fan worm. It's so tiny right now it is very hard to tell. It's in the upper...

Best Way to Clean the Glass?

If you have RODI water, I recommend using it to dilute the vinegar. I think it works better with out all the other TDS in the tap water.

Coralife Aqualight vs Marineland Reef Capable LED

I did decide on the Coralife fixture and bought one already. One a side note, a 36 gallon bow front glass canopy is a tight fit with the hang on the side filter it comes with. The Coralife fixture exactly fits the size of the glass. Meaning, there is no extra room anywhere on the top of the...

    Help please

My live rock went through the same dead ass cycle. Ended up with clear, clean smelling water in the long run.

Coralife Aqualight vs Marineland Reef Capable LED

I'm comparing these two fixtures for my tank, a 36 gallon bowfront. I don't have huge reef aspirations. Mainly polyps and mushrooms. As I mentioned elsewhere, I think the LED light gets good reviews by people that have them. What do folks think? Coralife Aqualight 2 x 65watts Compact...
