45g cube aka The Panty Pit

Seeing as i took the FIRST step of actually buying the tank i figured i could start this and add to it later. Heres the plan.

1. Build the stand.
2. Reef Octopus BH 1000 Hang on Back Protein Skimmer by CoralVue - AquaCave

3. Aqua Illuminations 1 Module Kit - AquaCave

4. Vortech MP10W ES Propeller Pump by EcoTech Marine - AquaCave

5. Stunner LED Strips - 12watt, 24in. - Stunner LED Strips - Aquarium LED Lights (going to add a magenta and blue)


Thats about all i got for now. Clearly not going to be an overnight build but let the fun begin. Will be for a mantis......:Cheers:

Oh that's nice. I don't suppose you can keep two together? They sell pairs on diver's den but I guess it's too late for that now.

@alex...they can be kept with marring pairs but that's not my thing...

@LF......just thinking of how much money is going into this is giving me a headache lol....got the tank on sale for 117 so saved 35-40 dollars so far.

Sounds like this is going to be a cool build. Dana, won't the AIs be too bright for the mantis? I thought I remembered you saying something a while back about them needing dimmer lighting.

Indeed Brian. But mantis found in Shallower waters can take more light as they would get it in the wild. My G.T lives in acro's in the wild so he should be fine with the LEDs.
