A New Approach to Curing Live Rock

The cure tank still has rocks in it. I did transfer one rock today to my main aquarium and over the next two days will transfer the rest keeping a close eye on my main aquarium chemistry. When the cure tank is empty I will give it a heavy feeding and check the levels and post the results. Geo.

why would you feed an empty tank? i meant feed the tank while there is live rock in there and if all the levels stay at zero with rotting food then you know that the rock is fully cured

I though you meant to feed the sludge in the bottom of the tank. It has often been said that that is the most valuable part of the curing process. Geo.

no i just meant feed the tank to let the food rot and make ammonia, and that will see if your bacteria on the rock can handle a fish load
