Algae growing out of rock?

Can someone please identify this for me? I don't know what it is. It's green and almost floss like, It has broken off into several pieces, and started expanding across my tank (piece on snail, broken and attached to other piece of rock) It doesn't like my Koralia at all...when it's on, it lays, but when it's off it stands right up and almost hits the top of my 45G

its not chaeto? looks like a strand. I am probably wrong but its a guess. lol

hehe, not that I know of. I'm sure that hawkfish wouldn't taste very good...just a fish stick! I'm just going to pull it tomorrow mornin. I was thinking it might be a strand of chaeto.
