Brain Necrosis

I let my Green Star Polyp rub against my new Brain for a few days and part of the brain died.
I can't tell yet if the dead part (necrosis?0) is spreading but I am watching.

1 Can the dead part spread ?
2 If it does what should I do? Dip? Dip with what?
3 Should I dip it now?
4 The LFS guy never took this brain out of the water. Is it okay to take him out for a second or two if I dip him?

Pic is grainy but you can see the white part and a little something brown growing on the dead polyp.

you can try an iodine dip that will kill pests and prevent infection of sps. Make sure you get a good enough iodine to saltwater mix.

I would do an iodine dip. The dying parts can spread. It's fine to take it out of water for the dip.

I agree with the iodine dip and as mentioned above you`ll be OK out of the water for a few.

Okay I just dipped it for a little less than five minutes using seachem's stuff. I rubbed the dead part hard with the solution on my finger tip.
