Brain ?

after putting frozen brine shrimp in my tank my clozed mazed brain has tiny little tenicle on the edge of the color area?
Its really cool looking but i was told that they do not need any food and now it looks as if those tentaciles are being used for some kind of absorption?

Normal?

Perfectly normal for them to extend their feeder tentacles when they smell food.You can turn the pumps off and feed it if you like,maybe once a week.I wouldn't feed it brine though...try mysis or other small meaty foods.

The brain doesn't need to be fed anything... It will get by just fine without any supplemental feeding. It's tentacles will extend normally sometimes.

I feed mine once a week. This way I know it's getting something. Plus it's cool to watch.
