buying a used tank

I'm buying a used tank and I'm picking it up tomorrow. It is a 92 gallon tank with 150 lb of live rock, and 3 fish in it. Anyone have tips for how I should transport everything. Currently I have a 45 gallon up and running.

Get yourself a few 5 gal buckets from home depot/menards/lowes to transport the rocks, livestock and water.

+1 smitty.. I would try to transport at least 50% of the water...

I would also either clean the sand very well before putting it back into the tank or toss it and get new sand

+1 everyone. I'd buy new sand for simplicity's sake, transport the fish and rock in buckets, and try to save some of the water.

If you have to travel a distance, you can buy some of those disposable styrofoam coolers from a convenience store to keep the fish in. That will keep their temp more stable than a bucket.

I just brought home the used tank I bought and found that there was a small crack in the upper part of the sump. I went and bought acrylic glue but it will not be dry for 24 hours. What should I do with the live rock until I can fill the tank?

They will be fine as long as they are kept wet.
