Clean-Up Crew

Just wanted to know people's opinions on CUCs.

For a 120 gallon tank...

How many snails? What kind?
How many starfish? What kind?
How many shrimp? What kind?
How many hermits? What kind
How many crabs? What kind?
How many other things I didn’t list?

Right now I have:
10 snails (Turbo, Nassarius , Astrea, Cerith)
1 serpent starfish
2 Shrimp (peppermint and cleaner),
10 hermits (scarlet, neon blue, other random ones)
3 crabs (emerald crabs and one hitchhiker that looks like his hands are feather dusters).

Well...you have about 5 more snails than me, 1 more serpent star, 1 more shrimp (I have 1 cleaner), about 5 more hermits and 3 crabs more than my 125 clean up crew.

In my 125,I got:1 grey brittle star,1 serpent star(had both for a little over 2 yrs now),10 or 12 pepperment shrimp,1 emerald crab,1 blue leg hermit(think he hitch hiked on a frag),30 to 40 nassarius snails(started with 20 in my 75),5 cerith snails that I know of.
Dont go buy a bunch all at once.Too many and they'll starve to death.
Start with 5 or 6 snails, then add more as needed to keep up with the cleaning.
You want just enough to balance it out.

I would get more nassarius snails for the sand. Probably half a dozen of the big ones, or about 20 of the little pea-sized ones.

Other than that, I think you're pretty well off. What will determine your cleaner crew size moreso than tank size is how pretty your tank looks. If you have algae, detritus and gunk everywhere, you need a larger cleaner crew. For some people, they get by just fine with a few cleaners. Other people need dozens. It depends on what your tank looks like.
