Crab ID

Hello all! I have been reading this forum for a couple months now and have decided to finally post. Looking for some help to id this crab. He isn't hairy and has these 4 white box markings on his shell right above his eyes. Just want to know if he is reef safe, right now he is in my 65 gallon aquarium with 2 clown fish, a cleaner shrimp and various snails and hermit crabs (no corals as of yet).

Looks to be a Xanthidae crab, not at all reef safe.

Can he live in a sump Smitty? Fastrd?

Yeah, you can place it in the sump if you want to. He can't do much harm down there.

Cool thanks for the quick response. Managed to catch him overnight using a pop bottle trap so he is in my fuge for now.
