I think that maybe the glass is just to slick for the coralline to stick to unless you have a little bit of algae already there.

it's kinda weird. I guess that I just needed to grip on here for it to happen. in the last couple of days it has been popping up all over the glass. now, lets see if it hangs in there, or dies off. the coraline has been exploding everywhere since I have switched to kent salt.

I have noticed where ever i get a diatom bloom if I dont clean it and just let it go away on its own coraline will grow there in a week or two. I have no clue why either.
