So I think I have dino's. At first I thought it was diatoms since I had put a new powerhead in and it stirred up a lot of sand. But the brown dusty stuff eventually turned into stringy stuff with bubbles on it. It also got worse as the day went on with the lights on, thus confirming my suspicion of dino's.
I've been away from home the last few days so I haven't been able to deal with it properly so I changed the lighting cycle to only 3 hours in an effort to contain it a little.
Any advice on how to battle this succesfully would be greatly appreciated.
I'll get some water params when I get home, from what I've read, ph and phosphate seem to be the key parameters in fighting dino's.
