I have found someone selling these lights on craigs list for 225.00. Would they be to much for a tank that is 80 gal that is 3ft X 2ft X 2ft.

2X400 watt metal halide hqi ballast, pfo brand with separate on/off switches for each bulb

2-400 watt single end pfo pendants each with a 400 watt radium bulb installed ~4 months old.

The whole setup is around 2 years old and in fantastic condition. This setup can be used hanging above the tank or installed in a canopy.

Here are the pictures he sent me.

Please the good and the bad if any on the brand.

will have to add other picture in a other post.

They would be fine on a tank 2' deep for keeping any coral. The only issue you may have is heat. They pump out a ton of heat, but properly placed fans might be all you need to keep the temps in line.

You would not need two 400 watt lights for a 80 gallon tank. That's overkill. You might even get your tank to boil! Just one of those lights would be fine.
