actually its already swelling up a little bit and I can see his mouth. WOW what a cool coral. Do I need to feed it ever?

You can feed it if your looking for rapid growth.Once a week with krill and mysis is good.I have several brains that I quit feeding around 5 months ago.

I feed my brain about twice a week, when it's tentacles are out. Sometimes it won't extend its feeding tentacles for a week or two at a time, so I don't feed it.

How many mouths do they have out of curiosity? I think mine has atleast 2 I might be wrong but it looks like it has 2 so I was just wondering?

It depends on the brains,multiple mouths is not uncommon.I don't know the exact species you have though.

I have a green closed brain...It looks like it has at least two mouths but it looks like three separate balloons since its still inflating.

I have one with six "openings". I don't think they need to be target fed if there is enough food flying around the water column during feeding
