Hair algae in sump?

Should I really worry about getting rid of it in the sump? I'm getting the hair algae under control in the DT but have some decent sized patches growing in the sump. If I remove it from the sump can that help prevent it from regrowing in the DT or will it really just make no differance?

You should leave it in the sump, at least its out the dt.

Let it grow wild. I have some on one single rock with button polyps out on the sand and I let the snails feast on it. Better there than in the dt for you.

I'd leave it go in the sump and try to pinch out as much as you can from the DT. That way it might only grow in the sump since the conditions are better for it. JMO

the more neutrients the algea gets in the sump the less it can get in the DT
