Reefing newb
I am seeing a influx of these types of creatures ...

Small tube shaped cylinders that have sand stuck to them, various lengths, with have what I would guess are sweeper tentacles that come out of them, usually 2

They are located along the edges of the glass, around the live rock...

Can anyone help me identify - are they dangerous

Thank you in advance for your help!

Do they look kinda like the end of a Q-tip?Its hard to make an ID without pics.
But it sounds like Q-tip sponges which are harmless and actually show that your tank is doing good.

Sounds like Vermetid snails since you mentioned hard tube and two tentacles coming out of them.Is there a mucus thread that looks like a spider web or cob web coming out of the tube?

Can you get a pic to be sure?

I'm at lost on what exactly it is.There are hundreds of species of Vermetid snails and there are some that don't throw out a mucus strain. If it is one then they are reef safe but to some people they are reef annoying.IMO,if it lives in a tube, rather snail or worm then they are reef safe.
