Is there a difference in growth rates with Nitrates <10ppm and >10ppm.
I have not seen a difference. My tank runs at 6 PPM normally of Nitrates and my corals grow at a good rate. I have seen tanks taht have 0ppm NO3 that are growing less. http://www.reefs.org/library/talklog/w_horst_113097.html
This link even contradicts what you are saying, it says to not stop feeding your corals out of fear of high nitrates, then in the whole section below it tells you how to get rid of your nitrates! No where in it does it say that corals need nitrates to live in fact it says nitrates kill corals!:frustrat::helm2::frustrat:
I think this has gone on about long enough. Everyone tried, but the OP has a mind of his own and I guess he'll do it his way no matter what anyone says.
