I was at the store yesterday and was wondering if This Kitchen Faucet Filtration system would filter my tap water enough until I can get a RODI system at the very least an RO system? Here is the info on it.

My LFS went under and I don't have a close place to get RODI water anymore. I was also doing some reading on the API tap water Filter also. I guess at the very least I can buy the water at the supermarket for .30 cents a gal.

I have a mixed reef if this helps

I would not try it. A few years back I tried using a "zero water" filter for my nano reef and fresh water tanks. It took the TDS of my tap water from 430 down to 14 to 17 which was a huge help in the freshwater tank but for the reef I was still getting diatoms and algae. The Zero water removed many more impurities than the filter your looking at.

IMO, take the 40 bucks for that and put it towards an RODI.
A decent RODI will cost between 150-200 depending on options. In the mean time, just use the supermarket water.
Also, do the math for your significant other if that is what is holding you up.
The break even point for me was around 26-30 weeks. And that didn't include the gas of going to the LFS and saving money by not going in there every week.

Not so much the Boss lol Its more living in a condo that I don't own. I don't want to mess with the plumbing and don't really want to hook it up to my washer for overflow.
