Lighting schedule

ok well i only plan on running my lights for a few hours everyday during the cycle, but once my cycle is complete i will set my timers so that it will simulate a sunrise and sunset. my T5's will turn on at 10am and then one hour later (11am), my halides will turn on, then for the sunset my halides will turn off at 9pm and one hour later my T5's will shut off. My questions are: has anyone, or is anyone doing this? and have you noticed improvments or had issues with it? also, anyone give your opinions, I tend to miss the smallest details sometimes.

I pretty much set it up the same way.In time the corals will slowly retract near the time the lights go out.

Mines the same way too.
Just keep in mind that you dont want to just jump right into 12 hours of light after your tanks cycled.Work it up to the 12 hours by ass maybe an every couple of weeks or so.That way you shouldnt get bombarded with a huge algae bloom.
