hey yal dad just ordered a odyssey light for his 55 gal. aquarium jw if this is a good light for his green star polyps , eagle eye and zoanthids?

cool is this light working good for you? i his tank is exactly 48 1/2 in long that should fit this light right?

That will be fine for a 55 gallon tank. He should be able to keep whatever he wants (I used a 4-bulb T5 fixture over my old 55 gallon tank too).

I love this light. I am slowly changing to name brand bulbs but for the money its a great fixture.

ok good to know im not the only one. however how do i need to acclimate the corals to this new lighting ? b/c it has just regular out of date t8 lights on it now two lights (not much light at all)

ok thanks so much im excited to help my dad get his tank looking better than it is. algae that looks like grass is growing everywhere in his tank but his parameters are all perfect

Start off with it on full power for 4 hours have it come half on for the first hour then full for 4 then half off for 1. Increase the full power time by 30 minutes a week until you reach the time you want. I have mine on 10 hours a day first hour is half last hour is half.

I still have y36"I keep it as a back up love it but I would swap of the.bulbs they at really cheap but its a great lite for the price
