I am looking at lighing and ran across this one on ebay.

I will want to move to corals and inverts by summer/fall and want to buy the right lits from the start.

My tank is 17 inches high and 15 inches deep.

I think that will be fine for your tank. I used a similar light over my old 55 gallon tank.

I use that exact light over my 55 gal. with no problems. I'm just getting started in corals but I have a fox coral, a leather and a ton of kenya trees that have been doing good under it for about 3 months now. The bulbs that come with it arent much, I had one go out within a month so you'll want to replace those pretty quick. Other than that its worked well for me.
