Reefing newb
I have had our JBJ Nano - cube 12 DX for about 3 years now.
Struggled with corals, colony polyps, pulsating Xenia ect..

I am looking forward to populating the new Bio HQI 29.

Here are some pics;
The Nano-Cube 12DX has;
Stock pump, (1) Koralia nano for aditional flow, Eheim JAGER 50W heater, stock lighting (1) 24W Actinic bluelight and (1) 24W 10,000K Daylight, stock filtration system, foam, bioballs, ceramic rings.

The BIO CUBE HQI 29 has;
Chamber #1 - Bio cube protein skimmer, Eheim JAGER 100W heater
Chamber #2 - small grouping of live rock and refugium, Spaghetti Algae, sea grass and some sort of red like kelp grass. On the back window of the refugium, I have mounted the Coralife Mini Aqualight T5 light fixture.
Chamber #3 - stock pump and added to the discharge is theBio Cube Mini ultraviolet Sterilizer
Inside the tank I have added (1) Koralia 2 and (2) Koralia nano's
On the glass top I added blue LED's for nightime moonlight.

looks great, why dont you angle is so you have a direct view of the front? you might have problems overheating with 2 lights one being a halide and a glass top

I had rock in chamber 2 and it is waste of space. There is no added benefit to putting the rock back there. Put the rock in the main display. I have my chamber 2 filled with macro-algae and it has kept my trates at zero.

Update on my 29 Bio HQI; I have added some Corals
I think I am at a good start with, please correct me If I am wrong....

(2) small colt corals? Maybe Nephthea? one is not liking something. When I first glued the frag that had the (2) colts or Nephthea and a small colony of zoanthids, it really got tall about 3 inches, now it is all srivelled up. the other is doing just fine. Comments?

(1) big finger leather (i think, maybe branching montipora?), that I transfered from my 12 gal nano. I started it out as a 1 inch frag 2 years ago.

a big colony of green zoanthids

a big colony on green star polyps

some mushrooms that were hitchhikers

a frag of bubble coral

a frag of frogspawn

a frag of open brain coral (I think, maybe collored brain?)ase comment

Please comment......
