New life in the tank

Well everything is growing and healthy. (yes including some algae on the glass :grumble: ) I do have new critters. Showed up this morning. And some teeny tiny star shaped white specks on the glass as well. Though those have been there for a month or so now.

Can someone please identify for me?

The bug things are pods -- good guys, live food for your fish and corals.

The star things are hydroid jellies. They will usually go away on their own and aren't anything to worry about.

Thanks Biff! I figured that they might be pods. But they were bigger than I was expecting. :)

I am finding all kinds of new growth. Including an aptasia I now have to kill. :grumble:

I was all excited when I set up the tank about buying all kinds of stuff....but now I am really happy I am taking it slow because something new pops up every day.

I know I read a thread here.....I have a tube type thing with long strands that come out....feel around then pull back in. Can't remember what those were.......off to search! :)

Yep....did some research on them and found that as well. :) They are cool to watch!

Found a small bristle worm too....
