Wanted to give a brief overview of the new lighting system that arrived today, packaging was good, delivered on time within the 6-8 days, no broken bulbs, no box damage, well packaged and shipped. I give it a 9.

The fixture itself, bulbs are decent nothing spectacular but no one expected spectacular, replacing with phoenix 14k's and looking at some true t5 actinics. Nothing broke, crisp white color the blues are pretty light compared to what you would expect in a true actinic, doesnt do much for the "pop" effect. Still for free bulbs they are doing their job.

This gets a 7 until i can get new bulbs to check out on these ballast.

LED's are alright, was hoping there would be more than 6 bulbs, but I knew there was only 6 when i ordered. cant really check these out till night time.

Cooling fans seem to be doing a decent job, silent and effective hopefully, fixture does get warm.

i give these a 7 as well, till i can really see the full extent of the tank heating up.

overall pretty impressed the fixture seems durable not cheap.

Nice I'm thinking about buying the same list for my tank. I do have a question however I was reading and there was a rating that said they do not fit on a standard 48" tank. What size is your tank by chance. Gals and dimensions would be greatly appreciated.

I have never heard of them not fitting on a standard 48" tank, for what it's worth...

These do not fit the standard tanks, I was rather disappointed with that and have since formed a way to make them fit, the light needs probably another 2 inches on each side for the metal grip to stand on the tank.

Nice, just ordered the smaller version the other day!! I am awaiting them, although im in Canada.. :( Maybe some broken stuff for me!

Can you post a pic of the metal grip? I've never heard of these lights not fitting before -- and lots of people on here use them.
