Oily film?

Saw this when I was looking up CPR overflows. Any thoughts?

Get at least a 20 gallon and do not buy any overflow that doesn't have a u-tube design. no CPR overflows...they tend to overflow water onto your carpet. U-Tube is the only style you want.

I don't know where you found that at. I have done many tests on my cpr overflow and even if I break the syphon on it on purpose then bring back power the pump always gets the syphon going before the tank gets high enough to hit the kill switch.

Whats wrong with the Eshoppes u tube? I've had mine running nine months and all I do is clean it once a month. Use an airline to suck the air out and thats it for the prime, never gave me any trouble. Paid $38 delivered.

Both styles of overflows will work if set up and maintained correctly. The horror stories are almost always the owners fault but you will never hear that from them!
