I dumped half a cup of bleach into a full tank of tap water. I'm gonna soak it for a week. Would it be clean enough to kill everything?

i think i would use vinegar and water it has acid in it to clean tank.

bleach will kill stuff in a matter of minutes, i wouldnt let it set for a week. swirl it around a little bit, then rinse several times make sure its rinsed really good..then let it dry.

It don't take long for bleach to kill whatever might be in the tank.
While rinsing it though,I'd use plenty of de-chlorinater.

If you're able to, it will also help to let the tank dry in the sun. Sunlight will help break down whatever bleach is left over.
