I asked this question in the middle of a different thread, but I'm still not clear on the answer.
What is the appropriate size skimmer for a 90 gallon tank? I was told to look for one that is rated for twice the volume of the tank, but skimmers usually have two numbers in the specs:
-What size tank they are rated for
-The gallons per hour that they flow
So, would I look for a skimmer that says it's rated for over 180 gallons, or one that flows at least 180 gallons per hour?
Would this skimmer work for me? It is rated for a 125 gallon tank, and flows 500gph.
