Real Baby Snails!

FishyReef

Broke Reefer!
Tonight I discovered rebirth in my tiny little tank of devastation, in the form of little baby nassarius snails! I know most of the time that we see tiny snails in our tanks they end up being some sort of hitchhiking snail, but these are indeed baby nassarius - they popped out of the sand when I fed the tank tonight (a little oyster feast and brine for my remaining corals and inverts), complete with their tiny little tubes guiding the way! I've found about 6 of them, but are sure there are several more! I also have a ton of tiny snails that are either baby turbos or collonistas. I'm thinking since there are no fishy predators in the tank for now that the snail populations are exploding! Kinda cool, I'm going to grow them up and then transfer them to my 90 since I need more nassarius snails in there anyway! I got some decent pics, but want to try to get a baby next to a big one so you can see the size difference - its super cool!
