Hello to the LivingReef community. I'm looking forward to the great advice from everyone.

I'm just starting out with my first saltwater tank which is a 50 gallon.

I was planning on just starting out with fish with live rock and seeing where that leads me.

I currently only have about 10 pounds of live rock, 2 Clown Fish, 1 3-Strip Damsel, and a Yellow Tail Damsel.

I just installed my T5 light which is really cool.

Glad to have you aboard. Fyi, thats alot of fish for a month, and get another 40 to 60lbs of live rock in there to support that bioload. Good luck,

Here is what I have done since I first created my account a few weeks ago.

60 pounds of live sand
59 pounds of live rock
2 Clown Fish
1 Yellowtail Blue Damsel

Like a NEWB I orginally installed a canister filter but I'm removing it tonight as I can't get my nitrates down and now I know why thanks to the fine people on LivingReefs

I plan on getting about 19 more pounds of live rock. I ordered an RO/DI today since I'm tired of running water back and forth to the LFS.
