I have two scarlet reef hermit crabs. This morning i found what looked like one of them out of their home shell. But both were walking around happy. Do they shed or molt their skin or exoskelton? Do they do this often?

Yes they do molt. Not sure how often. It could be that the one out of the shell is looking for a new home. Do you have spare shells laying around in the tank?

i have a few but i think that they are to big for them. both were in shells when i found the other body so i guess one of them molted. was worried one died until i saw them both in shells and walking around.
