Selecting a return pump

Need some input on return pumps. I recently purchased a Lifereef overflow for my 45G, and am trying to decide on either the Mag Drive 3 or Quietone 2200. I have a chance to get a Mag Drive 3 for $40 w/shipping.

Following the guide 45x5=225GPH so a 350GPH should do me just fine. Anybody had any experience with either? or can point me in the direction of a good one? It will be going in my 10G sump.

Edit: Just called my LFS and they believe a Mag 3 might be a little small for my 45G tall, because I'm looking at about 4.5' up, and "it will lose about 30% of its head after 4 feet" so they are trying to direct me towards a Mag 5. Told me if it is too powerful, I can return it and go with the Mag 3.

I think i would go with the Mag Drive 3. I have had one and they work good!

I believe the Lifereef nano prefilters are 400gph.If thats what you have then eithr Mag 3 or 5 will work.I would go with the safer alternative,the 3.

I actually got the regular one that does up to 600GPH on that.
