I'm new to this forum, as well as the idea of ATS filtration. I have an empty 10gallon tank that i want to put to use for my 90gallon display tank. I don't need to make any special chambers like the sump since all I'm doing is positioning the screen in the center of the 10gallon right? Then there will be a pump in the 10gallon tank that will pump the water back into the aquarium, correct?
If i have a current sump right now, couldn't i just add the screen into the pipe, and position it inside the sump rather than inside the biochamber( a usual sump). my nitrates are high because of a large bio-load, so i'm really interested in this ATS build, but trying to get all the details before making the move.
