Topping off water

I just came back from a vacation and my tank has evaporated atleast 2 inches of water. Since salt doesnt evaporate and stays in the tank, when I put in more saltwater to top it off wouldnt it add more salt into the tank and mess with the salinity??

You don't top off with saltwater... you top of with fresh. :D

As your water evaporates the salt in your tank becomes more conectrated therefore your salinity is higher. Like Erin said you add RO or DI water to bring it back to where it was before it evaporated.
