toxic??

This may be a stupid quesstion but better safe...
I recently removed a bag of phosphate sponge from my tank and used a large bowl to keep it from dripping all over the floor. I know the package say if you regenerate this stuff you cannot use the pan for food. Is this stuff that toxic? Is this because of the heat or is it all this bad? Can I put this bowl in my dishwasher do I need to toss it?

You cannot garuntee the dishwasher will completely sterilize the dish. Basically do not mix your house hold things with your salt hobby. Keep dedicated things for your hobby. My advise is not to use something for humans that has been used for the hobby. better safe than sorry. no telling what the dish might obsorb and leach out later or over a period of time.
