Transporting a Large Amount of Water

Hey everyone,

I just discovered my local grocery store sells both distilled and RO water which is wonderful. However, having to fill up 10+ 3 gallon jugs at the machine will be incredibly time consuming and a pain in the ass. My plan is to get the initial water from my LFS and then supplement top off and water changes with the store bought RO ( until I can grab an RO/DI unit). Does any one have any epxerience transporting 50 gallons of water. The tank is only 30 but I may as well buy an extra few gallon to keep me good for a few weeks. I am going to have a vehicle for this move. Should I use a large pail, small buckets?

I transport 10 five gallon jugs at a time. I don't see an issue with it.

im thinking of using buckets, will be easier to store then jugs. They charge 75 cents a gallon. Good thing Im only using them once

I bring them all to my store at the same time. It's really not too bad.

just remember the weight of water is 8.34 pounds per-gallon so be care-full thats 250
pounds you plan to move.
