Weld on 16 dangerous for fish?

I made a sump out of acrylic, and the baffles are also acrylic. To fasten the baffles I used weld on 16. Anyone that has used the 16 before knows its kind of a syrupy goo, and when you put pressure on it, like pressing a baffle down on a bead of it, it has a tendency to ooze out the sides. So now in my sump I have some dried weld on that will be exposed to the water. Is this dangerous to the fish? Will any chemicals leak out into the water?

No, it is perfectly safe as long as you let it fully dry and cure. I used this to build my sump and overflow. No problems. :mrgreen:

Ok good what a relief because I had to use quite a bit. But its going to be a few weeks before I can actually use the sump so Im pretty sure it will be cured by then lol

+1 to bojangles93. It basically turns to acrylic when dried.
