Noticed this today on some LR, it's very close to the top of the tank near the lights and 'semi' securely attached (similar feel of grip to a turbo) with what seems like a fairly hard shell/exoskeleton. Million pound question.... What is it and is it good or bad (or just a bit ugly?). Hope everyone is well!

Looks like a small clam.
There are several different species of those and are usually just filter feeders.

Hmmmm, I would be able to get more pictures but it's disappeared! Best post description is that it looked like a slimy yellowish pistachio nut (/turd...). I will hunt it down though!

I got-ta say.. that one picture is impressively clear. Was that out of the tank.. viewing the grid behind it I think so..? Which 'splains the clarity.

Yarp, it was on the top of my LR pile and not glued to anything so out it briefly popped.
