Whats everyones thoughts on the Biocube/Aqquapods/etc?

Hi,
New to the saltwater scene. I was contemplating picking up my friends 18 gallon setup, but Im running across alot of these Biocubes/aquapods used for less than 175 bucks! And now Im completely obsessed with the idea of saltwater in my living room. I like the all in one features of these setups, especially the larger 24 or 28 gallon ones. Since Im a newb, I think this will help control me for a little while, at least until I can upgrade...need to upgrade the apartment first though. SO just looking for honest opinions on them, upgrades necessary after purchasing, and even stocking recommendations if youve got the time. Thanks in advance really glad I found the site!

i would rather build my own system you are too limited with what they come with or what they can be upgraded to

Didn't someone here order a big Red Sea Max 250 or something recently?

no room for upgrading, and just as expensive as building a slightly larger setup.

I wouldnt waste my money on a Bio-Cube.
Too many problems with them.Fans burning out within a week,light ballasts going out,pumps quiting.
Those are almost daily complaints I hear on em at the LFS.
