If anything killed him, I would have to guess the temperature over ammonia or oxygen. Temperature can drop and hurt a fish much faster than ammonia will build up or oxygen will be depleted... In any case, I'm sorry the fish didn't make it. :(

See, there IS something to this "Fish lover's survival guide" kit :) Have a well insulated cooler, plus some premixed saltwater, a portable air pump, and some heat packs ready "for those times you decide to do an impulse decision to get a fish"

Cottonwood I was thinking of you while I was admiring my Yellow Eyed Tang this morning. :( I just got him from reefhotspot.com last Thursday and he is fitting in well.
