Your opinion dead or still hiding, Goby and Shrimp

A month ago bought a YW Goby and pistol combo. Both found each other withing a day and happy for 2 days, then nothing no sign of them at all. No bodies, no tunnels, nothing. I know they can hide for while but my tank is a long 70 gallon 5 feet across and only 13 inches deep so can see quite a bit around it. Could be directly under larger rocks but I have to think they are dead. the odd part is they both disappeared at axact same time. your thoughts? want to get another or should I wait?

Wait is my opinion. And don't go tearing through the rocks to find them. It's more trouble than it's worth.

What other livestock do you have in the tank?

3 green chromis
1 o clownfish
1 orchid dottyback
1 sailfin tang (very small now and will trade him in when he gets a little bigger)
I cleaner shrimp
Various snails
Oh and 1 pipefish I actually caught in bay and is thriving and growing fast

Wait they are hiding.

I was going to suggest putting some food in a container and see if you can lure them out but your other livestock will hamper that idea.
