My shaved head happened by accident. The wife was running the trimmer through my hair when all of a sudden she says, OH SHIT! She forgot to snap the guard on, lol. I kept it surgical short, then that weekend I shaved it all off.

Hello. Im a vet of the freshwater tanks but this is my first venture into the world of saltwater. I set up my tank 4 days ago and this is me adding 3 turbo snails and 3 hermit crabs (upon reccomendations of the pet shop). Ive yet to do a test other then for the temp and salt (which were both perfect). I dont plan on adding any test fish for about another week (pending tests are good). Im awaiting a powerhead in the mail (a 450) and would love some suggestions of how to place it in my 35 gal hex tank. I plan on frequenting this forum alot now since Ive joined the salt club. BTW...its both live sand and rock with a 50 aquaclear filter..the creatures were added last nite and seem to be doing fine...any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Hey there and welcome!

We don't really do "test fish" in salt water, you should get a test kit (basics would be ammonia, nitrate and nitrite) and monitor your parameters before adding anything else.

Other than that it sounds like you're off to a good start. You're also more likely to get more responses if you start your own thread. :-)

Lol. Poor choice of words on my part. Since Im new to salt all fish are test fish at this point. I think Im about a week away from fish still... see you in the forums
