    Clownies and Anemonies (sic)

Okay well thanks everyone. I have another issue. This morning when I came home from work, I discovered what I have worked out by searching the web to be a bristle worm in my tank. The research says they come out of the living rock, and some say they are good, some say not. Opinions? Should...

Absolutely thank you. What readings should I take in the tank to determine what is bothering him? I am not so stubborn not to take counsel from someone with more experience than I.

Lights...are a white flourescent tube and a UV (violet colored), about a foot long each. When I say that the temps are between those temps, I mean, when I look at the thermometer, it is about halfway between them and never moves. The Anemone actually looks very healthy, I am not concerned...

    Clownies and Anemonies (sic)

Well, I have had my tank for more than four months now. It is a small setup. About 50 litres max. There is a protein skimmer and another filter, and a heater that I have barely turned on now, due to the extreme heat of our summer. Tank temp is still around 25-29 degrees though. The Anemone...

    Clownies and Anemonies (sic)

I have these two clown fish...they are small and very funny. (anyone who is British with small children will get the reference to Charlie and Lola here) I also have an anemone, which moves around all over under the living rock, and to which neither clown pays the slightest attention. How to...

Clown Basically staying in one spot in corner, Nose down.

By the way, re: the video, I mihgt just point out that I was holding my camera sideways but I couldn't work out a way to make the video portrait - IE rotate it 45 degrees. So the female is actually living nose down....:^:

Clown Basically staying in one spot in corner, Nose down.

I have these clown fish. They are active enough (although they rarely stray from one corner of the tank, While the anemone that they never even seem to notice moves all over the living rock), but today this one [the one on top] has been sitting in that position most of the day. He doesn't seem...

    Greetings from Perth, Western Australia

Yes....the Ningaloo Reef starts about 1200 km north of Perth. It is 260 km long, and, although I have never snorkeled it, my wife's uncle tells me that it is a mere 100 metre swim from shore, unlike the great barrier reef which is a half day's boat ride from shore. By all accounts, even though...

Is this coral going to make it?

The lights were off from Friday to the following Saturday. I took the picture Monday Afternoon, after the lights were on for about 5 hours today. They were on all evening Saturday, all day Sunday and so far all day today. The lights are one flouro and one UV. About 12 inches long each. I...

Is this coral going to make it?

I have just returned home from a week's holiday in which the tank lights were off the whole time. I have a tentacle coral that looked like this (see pic A). By usaeagle, shot with KODAK Z650 ZOOM DIGITAL CAMERA at 2009-12-20 a month ago, and like this (see Pic B) By usaeagle, shot with KODAK...

    Greetings from Perth, Western Australia

Hey, My name is Jonathan. I am an American living in Western Australia, and recently went into salt water aqauria. I have had several fresh water, both cold and tropical, and got a small, about 45 litre, salt water rig with two clown fish, and a couple of coral. It is quite enjoyable.
