I'm having problems with leaks coming through two holes in the bottom of the sump along the vertical walls. One of the holes in the return pipe back to the aquarium. The other is a hole no longer in use. I will be trying something this week but wanted to see if anyone had different ideas.

I'm doing some research on skimmers. I realize everyone has there favorites and have probably had problems with a few kinds. I'm looking at a Hydor Performance Protein Skimmer for a FOWLR tank. Anyone got any info about good or bad performance?

In a 220 FOWLR tank, is it necessary to install a uv sterilizer. One of my LFS is "strongly" recommending it. I see how it could be useful, but being necessary is quite different. Anyone got any input? I'm thinking something smells funny and he might be full of :pooh:

I just bought a 48" LED strip of the Reef Insane 2xtreme with 453 NM blue. I think the light output vs heat is excellent and love the deep water blue color. Is anyone familiar with this particular lighting. 2XTreme

Does anyone have a recommendation for a particular type of Lionfish? Looking at liveaquaria, there are several types. I'm leaning towards the fuzzy dwarf so it doesn't take up too much room in my tank. Of course the Radiata Lionfish looks great though. Ideas?

Does anyone have any experience with grouper in their aquariums? I was looking at a Blue Line and a Spotted Grouper. They will be in a 220 gallon with a 60 gallon sump. Any info will be appreciated.

I just recently set up my 220 gallon aquarium. I'm assuming I didn't rinse the sand enough. After putting in the water, I can't see through the tank. I'm thinking of running mechanical filtration to pull some of the fine sand particles out of the tank. Suggestions?

If setting up a new saltwater aquarium, is it ok to put in the RO water first and place the salt in afterward and begin mixing. It will be several hundred gallons of water. After mixing, I would be putting in my live rock.
