DIY ATO Float Valve

Here is my version of the Auto top off. I just picked up a clip on 1" 'T' fitting to 3/4" pvc that fit perfect on my reserve return tubing going back into the sump. I also got a float valve, 1/4" bulkhead, and 6' of 1/4" tubing from bulk reef supply. I just cut out the bell of the pvc for the float valve. The issue I see down the road would be salt creep, but as for now it's topping off right on the money.

Nice job! Would there be an issue, though, with the metal hinge getting corroded/rusted, and leaching into the water, though? Or is it staying well above the water line?

Yes it is above the water line. I did think of that one too. I'm just fine tuning the salinty levels now.I orignally was going to dremel a hole how to adjust the float valve up and down, but opted against it. I'll just have to keep an eye on it.
