Favias not opening?

I was feeding my acans and my new candy cane last night when the moonlights were on caus there tentacles were out. I gave them each a very small piece of shrimp and they grabbed it and slowly gobbled it up. But... My two favias weren't open and wouldn't take any food. In fact I've never seen them "open", as in have there tentacles extended? Are they totally different than acans and eat in a different way?

You're not alone...mine doesn't seem to open much neither...i think I've seen tentacles out maybe twice since I've had it.

It's not a indication of bad health is it? They both seem to have gained some color since shipping.

No, it doesn't mean anything is wrong, they just don't extend much imo
