Gfo

I want to do my tank right this time so I have a couple questions.

First, since I just ordered a few types of macro algae (Red Gracilera, Ulva and a surprise), do I need to be running a reactor? My hopes were that using a natural nutrient export would mean no.

Second, if I do need one, can someone direct me to a good, small and relatively cheap reactor? I saw a Kent Marine HOB for $79.99 at Petco, but have no idea how good it is.

oh ok well i dont if it will change once i put corals inmy tank but as it is right now i dont run gfo and my phosphates are 0 if that helps

Test for phosphates. Its entirely possible that once you start running macro algae that you wont need to run GFO as well. The only way to really know is to test your water. Every setup and stocking list is different, so there is no way to know other than testing.

Most liquid phosphate tests are inaccurate, if you really want to measure phosphates, look into a Hannah checker
